ADMISSIONS> INFORMATION

Individuals who wish to apply for admission to the Purdue-Kelley MSE-MBA program may do so through a single admissions process negotiated between Purdue EPE and Kelley Direct.

There is no GRE exam requirement for Purdue. Kelley requires a GMAT score and one-week residency prior to the start of classes.

The applicant is required to complete the MS or MSE degree prior to starting the MBA. All application materials must be sent directly to Purdue EPE. Those who have already completed or partially completed the Purdue EPE MS or MSE or the Kelley MBA will receive consideration for admission to the dual degree program on a case by case basis. To discuss your individual situation contact EPE and ask for the Manager of Marketing and Client Services.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PURDUE EPE MS & MSE DEGREES

Students with an undergraduate degree in engineering from an ABET accredited institution qualify for the MSE (Master of Science in Engineering) degree. Students with an undergraduate degree from a non-ABET accredited engineering program or from a closely related area to engineering, such as computer science, mathematics or physics qualify for the MS (Master’s of Science) degree. Designated Kelley courses may be applied toward your Purdue degree, with a total of at least 60 credit hours required to obtain both degrees.

Once the student is admitted and completes 30 hours of courses on the Purdue Plan of Study maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 (B) out of 4.0 (A), the student is eligible to graduate with the MS or MSE degree from Purdue. At that time the student may begin work on the MBA degree from Kelley.
After completing 60 credits maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0 (B) out of 4.0 (A), the student will be eligible to receive the MBA degree from Kelley.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Admission to the dual MSE-MBA program initiates through Purdue since the MS or MSE is the first degree obtained. Once the application materials are reviewed by both EPE and Kelley Direct, Purdue and Kelley will notify the applicant of the admission decision by letter.
